Village
- Lecture tile:Concepts, Models and Applications of Fuzzy Spatial
Objects
CHENG Tao
Dr. Tao Cheng obtained her PhD in GIS from the International
Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC).
She was a lecturer in GIS in the university of Leicester, UK,
from 2001 - 2002. She is currently a research fellow in Hong Kong
Polytechnic University. Her research interests span uncertainty
in geographic information, spatio-temporal data model, multi-scale
modeling and representing of spatial objects, with applications
on intelligent transportation and coastal zone monitoring and
management. She is the author and co-author of a number of scientific
articles. One of her co-authored paper on fuzzy objects has been
awarded as ISPRS 200O best paper.
